The world’s biggest tunnel aquarium
The biggest tunnel aquarium with a length of 131 meters and width of 3,5 meters located in a main tank with 5.000 tons capacity holding sea water is designed in a triplex complex with a total of 12.500m2 indoor area built on 30.000m2 land. Aside from the main tank, there is an aquarium tank specifically designed for sharks and more than 40 aquariums with different themes. Antalya Aquarium complex with its aquariums along with the reptile house, snow world and ice museum, 5D movie theatre, restaurants, fast-food chains, cafes, souvenir shops, photography points and an exhibition center has been architecturally designed and constructed by Ocean Aquarium.
Antalya Aquarium has hosted more than 2 millions of visitors during the 28-month period between August 2012 and December 2014. In 2013 summer season, Antalya Aquarium was one of the first 5 places visited the most all around Turkey by the foreign tourists after the archaeological sites such as Hagia Sophia and Topkapı Palace and draws intensive attention from the school and student groups during the winter seasons.
Antalya Aquarium project also received the best tourism investment in 2013 from the Capital Magazine. Ocean Aquarium is also one of the founding partners of the investment company operating this project.
Ocean Aquarium is also a founding partner of the investment company which will operate this complex for next 25 years.
